Eliise

Eliise was temporarily on crutches and needed help to go to Comedy Estonia. Evelin came to help and Eliise immediately hit it off with her: „It was just wonderful with Evelin. I was very glad to have gotten myself such a motivated companion. We found out that we have similar experiences and views on several questions. We both got to train our ABS for an hour and a half and were very satisfied with the evening. Thanks again to the great and efficient members of Helpific and to all the sharers and people who showed their willingness to help.“

It is quite difficult to find someone when you need help on a certain day of the week at a certain time – to exercise in the group meant just for neurology patients. “I am a blind young man named Kert and I study social work in Tallinn University. I have used Helpific web platform twice. First time I used Helpific in the begininning of the year, when I wanted to go to Solaris cinema. I entered my wish to Helpific in the evening and already in the morning I had a helper. I have heard from other users that sometimes the reply and the help arrive even faster. The second time I used Helpific support environment to visit the summer school of Estonian Association for the Blind and I have to say that through Helpific, my life is much more interesting. I got out of the house, went camping in the woods and near the seaside, sat in a sauna, took part in a quiz, got training how to use a smart phone and a lecture on accessibility. “I study social work in Tallinn University and Helpific support environment is an excellent place to get direct experience in social field. I have been on internship in Helpific and helped the organization itself and now whenever I have time, I love to help the people who need help. I was escorting Kert on the summer camp of Estonian Association of the blind and we had a really good time. It is summer, the weather favored being outside and Kert is a good companion as we are studying the same specialty and we can easily find common topics. The outing was very interesting – I participated in different activities such as camping and lectures, also I was able to make myself more acquainted with different aspects in a life of a blind person.
